Chester High's 2008 Awards and Promotions ceremony was held on Friday 23 May 2008. A huge turnout of parents, school officials and public organizations saw the appointment of the new command staff. The new CO will be Cadet A Jimenez who also named Cadet of the Year and promoted to Captain. The XO will be Cadet Toler who was promoted to 1stLt. The new SgtMaj will be Cadet A. Hastings. The 1st Year Cadet of the Year was Cadet C. Skinner. Senior, Cadet Captain Y. Negron received the Honor Courage and Commitment Award.
The Instructors of Chester High Marine Corps JROTC would like to thank all of the parents and school officials that attended the awards night. A big thanks to all of the organizations that presented awards and donated monetary gifts to the Cadets. Last but not least a special thanks to LtCol Council Ross and LtCol Ross for making the trip to Chester High to present Awards.
